Muscle Witch Fitness was borne of the desire to provide affordable fitness coaching for women and trans folks in a supportive environment. The aim is to provide accessible, effective strength training programming that prioritizes consistent, smart training to achieve sustainable results in a healthy manner.
Nina King is a 24-year-old bodybuilder and fitness coach from North Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and is currently pursuing an MFA in creative writing at the University of Illinois. Nina began strength training in 2016 in an effort to overcome a history of disordered eating. After years of trial and error, injury and inconsistent results, she decided to do as much research as she could into the science behind strength training and muscle building. Naturally, a lot of this learning came from men, along with a fair amount of condescension and sexualization. In order to help other women break into strength training in a more comfortable way, she started taking people from college to the gym regularly to show them the ropes. Over time, she began drafting workout programs, and this is how Muscle Witch Fitness began!
